S.J. Betines & Co. ("Oriental Pharmacy") had a pharmacy close to Hataman Gate in Hataman Street, Peking (Beijing), as well as a photographic studio next to the German Legation. The shop stocked photographic sundries and undertook developing and printing.  Betines also had premises in Victoria Road, Tientsin (Tianjin).
