An interior view of the Hall of Supreme Harmony, at the Palace of Heavenly (or Celestial) Purity (Qiangqinggong, Qian Qing Gong,  乾清宫) in the Forbidden City, Peking (Beijing). The wooden tablet above the golden lacquerware throne and golden lacquerware screen, is in the calligraphy of the Shunzhi Emperor [r. 1643-1661] and translates as "Open and Above Board."
