University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Ru01-050. A pack of harriers was kept by the First (British) Chinese Regiment - and local hares were regularly hunted. Captain, later Major, Wilfred Harry Dent, joined the 10th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment soon after war was declared. He was killed in 1915, at the Battle of Loos.
