University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Hi-s006. Eliza Mary Hillier (née Medhurst) (1828-1886), daughter of Dr W. H. and Betty Medhurst. Eliza Mary Medhurst married Charles Batten Hillier in Hong Kong in 1846. She is the mother of Charles William Hillier, Walter Caine Hillier, Harry Mason Hillier, Eleanor Maud Hillier and Edward Guy Hillier. She re-married in 1864, to Charles Marshall-Hole.
