Sign on the roof: 大東門分(此?). Sign to the right just below the roof: 博古酒(..). Sign to the left just below the roof: 朝頂束帶. Signs above the door and on each side of the door: 寶成銀(..) - which can be translated as 'Baocheng Silver'. Baocheng seems to be the name of the silver shop. The image was reproduced in 'Old China in Historic Photographs 288 Views’ by Ernst Boerschmann' (Dover Publications, 1982) on page 112 and captioned: ‘Shanghai. A silversmith's house’. Honan Road is now Henan Zhong Lu.
