University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: DH-s029. Fangguanyan temple (方广岩寺), which still stands, was also known as Yuen Fu (Yuen Foo) Monastery (or Joss House). On the left is Tianquan Hall; on the right Avalokiteshvara Hall. This photograph by Tung Hing is similar to one by John Thomson published in his book, 'Foochow and the River Min'.
