University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Hh-s073. B.C.C. = British Cigarette Company.

Caption on photograph
B.C.C. Factory Tientsin / Tobacco cutting machines, 22 in a row. All crossed belt drives. I found an open belt can be used equally well with a slight modification, thus actually saving wear of bearings appreciably.
