The ‘Empress of India’ was a Canadian Pacific steamship, built by Naval Construction & Armament Company of Barrow-in-Furness and launched in 1890. Her regular transpacific service was Vancouver to Hong Kong, until 1914. Later renamed ‘Loyalty’, she was scrapped in 1929.
