Left to right: Sir Alexander Frederick Whyte; his wife, Margaret Emily Whyte (née Fairweather); Neilage Sharp Brown, who was the Hong Kong manager of Butterfield and Swire. Sir Alexander Frederick Whyte was a political advisor to the National Government of China (1929-32). The Whytes were staying with N.S. Brown in January 1929. See also
