圣寿寺 (Shengshou Temple) and 蚕神庙 (Temple of Silkworm God), Guilin

Notes

University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Ba04-79. The temple on the right, at the foot of the mountain, was called 蚕神庙 (The Temple of Silkworm God). This temple was probably demolished in the late Qing Dynasty. The temple higher up, on the left, was 圣寿寺 (Shengshou Temple). It is no longer a temple, but some buildings survive. Behind the temple buildings, there is famous cave which runs through the mountain. As a cool wind passes by the cave all the year round, it is usually called 风洞 (Wind Cave), and this mountain is called 风洞山 (Wind Cave Mountain). See Ba05-028.
