This is a reproduction in 'Round the World from London Bridge to Charing Cross via Yokohama and Chicago' (George Newnes, 1895) of Lai Afong (Afong Studio)’s photograph no. 267 of the racecourse viewed from Morrison’s Hill. On the right is the new grandstand and mat sheds. Behind them, at the foot of the hills, is the Protestant Cemetery. In the distance is Wong Nei Chong Village.
