The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation premises, Beijing

Notes

University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Hi-s112. Two men are standing by a ground floor window. Above them, by a first-floor window, are two children with an amah. Note a goat by the tree, building materials - and a dovecote (with pigeonholes) on the wall to the right. If the latter was for carrier pigeons, this suggests that the dovecote was on a part of the German Post Office. See Hi-s113 and Hi-s114.
