Anchored here is the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand steamer LOONGANA, which operated between Melbourne and Launceston, Tasmania from 1904 until 1936. She was towed out of Melbourne on 3 November 1936 for Japanese shipbreakers in Osaka, but had some equipment removed at Shanghai on the way. She was broken up in Osaka some weeks later. See Ro-n0938.
