University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Sw17-003. Khaki cloth Kodak Negative Album, 12 cm x 16 cm. 134 negatives (sized 92mm x 147mm).  The album was labelled P2/IX on the back cover.  This photograph was probably taken at the launch of the SS Tencho Maru, and probably depicts Dairen Kisen K.K. senior staff.  SS Tencho Maru was built by the Taikoo Dockyard & Engineering Company, Hong Kong, and launched in 1911.  The steam cargo ship was owned by the Japanese company Dairen Kisen K.K. The Tencho Maru was wrecked (ran aground) near Dairen, on 22 July 1936.  See Sw07-151, Sw07-152 and Sw17-004.
