SMS Scharnhorst (1905-1914) was the flagship of the East Asia Squadron, Imperial German Navy, homeported in Qingdao. The armoured battle cruiser was built at Blohm and Voss shipyard, Hamburg, and assigned to the East Asia Squadron in 1909. Note the German sailors on the far left.
