The album was labelled P2/X on the back cover. No caption for this negative in the album. The passenger/cargo steam ship ‘Circe’ (1912-1946) was named after the goddess of magic and built by the Taikoo Dockyard & Engineering Company, Hong Kong, for Alfred Holt & Co. She was launched in 1912 and operated out of Singapore on the Blue Funnel Line. The ‘Circe’ was requisitioned by the Royal Navy in 1939 and named HMS Circe. Later the ship served in the Royal Australian Navy as HMAS Medea. See HR01-025, Sw16-001, Sw17-001 and Sw17-002.
